Romania post-Ukraine war: in "The Economist"

Romania does not make headlines in The Economist too often.

This is why I thought you might be interested to learn more if you did not have the time to see/read this article already.

The article title is "Romania fears that whatever happens in Ukraine, it will end up more vulnerable"

Here are the main ideas and a link to the article for your convenience:

-There has been a 100-fold increase in Russian cyber-attacks on Romanian targets since the invasion began

- Russia's s seizure of Snake Island can be fortified and used as a base from which to harass Romanian ports and shipping in the Danube delta

-While before the invasion Romania failed to convince NATO Black Sea could be a potential conflict area, now there is consensus towards increasing Nato presence to (maybe) comparable levels of Poland and Baltic states.

- If Odesa and the south-west of Ukraine fall, Romanian troops will end up face to face with Russian forces

- Russia's potential attempts to destabilize the pro-EU Moldova government could also create instability in a region where 640 thousand of Moldovans are also Romanian citizens.

- there are worries that a ceasefire that in effect partitions Ukraine would leave Romania next door to an unstable, bitter, and divided country.
